Janette Toral
When my brother and I were discussing who were the interesting people that we’d like to interview for Entrep.ph, the name Janette Toral came to mind.
I remember her from way back in 2010, she once invited bloggers to feature a restaurant which was newly opened at that time.
She was already into digital marketing. That’s why she hired us bloggers to give our honest reviews for that particular budding restaurant during that time.
Let’s get back to the present. Since my brother’s website is about entrepreneurs, business, etc., I thought it was fitting that someone like Ms. Toral to grace entrep.ph with her presence.
My brother agreed. After we chatted about her, I immediately sent her an invite to be interviewed for entrep.ph. That was two weeks into July.
Then, first weekend of August, I got a message from her asking me if I could meet with her on that day. At first, I declined on that Saturday because I was scheduled to meet my daughter in Bulacan for her belated birthday celebration. So I told Ms. Toral that if we could meet on Sunday. To this, she agreed and chatted me if I could meet her in this quaint restaurant near her home.
So, to cut the story short, we met at Verena’s Restaurant somewhere in Barangay Holy Spirit and interviewed her while we were having lunch.
Ms. Toral even helped me record the interview using my phone. She had her own Messenger open and then would say the questions out loud for the recording and answered them as quickly as possible.
Though the first few minutes of meeting her, it was more of chitchat since she already remembered what I did for her in 2010. We had fun as we were reminiscing about how she called us bloggers to cover that restaurant event.
Yes, I wanted to be a blogger back then because I would meet new faces and get to know people. But then, I was working as a transcriptionist at home. So, blogging had to take a back seat.
I won’t keep you much longer. I know you want to know what came out of my interview with the Mother of E-commerce Law. The interview came up with three articles. So, what you’re going to read are the takeaways from Ms. Toral’s interview. Read on.
